The NEW Steve Comes With No Hair - Standard!
Bollocks . . .
I've been watching a lot of BBC America, particularly Chef Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. I know a lot of people can't stand that guy, but I think he's awesome. He likes to say "bollocks" a lot, usually prefaced by the "F" word. So now I've been saying "bollocks" a lot, and I also used the word "nicked" in reference to someone stealing something. It's like I'm trying to pull a "Madonna" by changing my vocabulary and dialect and stuff! Well, maybe not that bad . . .
Books . . .
I mailed out another batch of books today, so a few of you should see some packages from me in the next couple of days. The demand for the YHT bundle has been tremendous, and I'm now out of copies of Vol. 1. But don't worry, I'm getting more in stock! So if you'd like to pick up the YHT Bundle (YHT Vol. 1, Vol. 2, and the one-shot comic book) for a mere $10 and NO SHIPPING, shoot me an e-mail at wesmolebash@gmail.com! I'll ship out your bundle as soon as I my stock of books is replenished!
Also, when I say NO SHIPPING I mean NO SHIPPING. Even for international orders. Ten U.S. dollars will get you three books shipped anywhere in the world until May 30. That's when the free shipping ends deal ends. So make sure to get your orders in before the deadline!

9:32 PM- Wes
I had a Welsch(sp?) friend in High School who told be that Bollocks was equivelent to Bull-s**t, so I didn't quite understand what you meant when you said it. I suppose it could mean different things in different parts of the country.
1:26 AMWhen Chef Ramsay says it on his show, he seems to be referencing a dude's "balls". He often tells guys to "grow some bollocks" or "that takes bollocks". I think sometimes they use the word like we use bullsh*t over here, too, like you said. Sometimes Ramsay will respond, "Oh, BOLLOCKS!" if he feels like someone is yanking his change about something.
6:14 AMI really know nothing about British culture. I hardly think BBC America is a proper education in the ways of Great Britain, so I could be waaaay off in my understanding of the term "bollocks". :)

BBC-A is a perfect way to gain some insight into British culture. Many of their shows are of British origin, but are broadcast here because there's a thought that we Americans might enjoy it (and in fact, I watch about 3 or 4 shows on a regular basis there, and I'm no Anglophile nor wish to go down the route of Madonna).
12:20 PMGordon Ramsey is a weird for me. My friends really liked Kitchen Nightmares here on Fox, and so my fiancee and I started watching it. It was pretty good, but we liked the BBC-A version much more. However, I really *really* can't stand him on Hell's Kitchen. Then I saw him on "A Cook's Tour" with Anthony Bourdain, and he was really pleasant.
So I guess I like quite and dedicated Gordon Ramsey much more than yelling maniacal Gordon Ramsey.
BTW, I've also heard many a Brit say "Bollocks to this!". Which fits neither of the American definitions previously mentioned.
BBC-A is awesome :)
12:05 AMwell...they were, until they screwed up their lineup.
it used to be 2 episodes of "How Clean is your House?" followed by 2 episodes of "You are what you eat" followed by an episode of "Ramsey's Kitchen Nightmares" (I love working nights...daytime tv is pretty bomb) but now they've screwed it all up, and changed all the times, and I believe they've thrown an episode of "at the auction" in there or something..
Now remember, if it's the "Dog's bollocks" then it is good. =)
2:52 AMWes, lately I've picked up a British term. I listen to this online radio show who has a British DJ and whenever he mentions what time it is or what time something will be instead of saying five O'klock he'll say its five bells. I assume its refering to church bells telling the time. But either way it makes the day seem a bit brighter if someone asks me the time and I can say that rather than it's only 2 o'klock.
7:30 AMGod bless the word bollocks has so many uses. By the way "Bollocks to this!" is used when you can't be bothered with something because it's boring or really annoying you.
10:30 AMBBC America is indeed full of win. Robin Hood, Top Gear, Doctor Who and Torchwood are all stellar. I'm nto as big a fan of Ramsey, but it's not as bad as alot of our programming here in the states can be.
