Delayed
There won't be a new strip up until later Wednesday evening. Our flights from Minneapolis to Columbus were delayed all day, and we didn't get home until 7:15 PM. I had an important phone call at 8, and by the time that was over I was too tired to stare at bristol board for a few hours. So I've decided to relax for the rest of the evening.

7:51 PMI still REALLY want to see that Steve Emaline conversation! It sounds, based off what you have Katie saying, that Emaline has learned from her rebellious ways and that Steve should see that and love her more for it.
Just my two cents...
Ah, I wasn't expecting that Kate'd know but Steve wouldn't. I guess that makes sense though, since many people seem to have some kind of skeleton in the closet.

Apologies for nit-picking but... I thought Emaline was some "outside" girl that Steve met and that she had no connection with Kate prior to Steve introducing Ema to Andy and Kate.

Well, they've known each other for at least 2 years in comic-time now... I assumed that Emaline just mentioned it to Kate sometime when they were chatting alone. It seems reasonable.

8:41 PMBlack Rain - Edgar's got it right. Emaline and Kate are friends, so I imagine they've had a couple heart-to-heart talks in the few years that they've known each other.
