From my sketch book
I was looking through my sketch book, and roughs, and I thought I'd share the Rip Haywire ones with you. This one was one of my original gags that I rejected, because I started thinking, Rip is a hero, he shouldn't be getting drunk and picking fights.
But I thought the gag was funny, maybe it'll show up somewhere later on down the road in a character that is an anti hero. Hope you like!

It's a good joke, Dan. I don't think heroes should be drinking and picking fights either, but Rip is sort of an unconventional hero. I think the joke works and is in character. You should run with it!
May 14, 2007 3:32 PMmaybe, but I always think...would John Wayne, or Clint Eastwood just pick a fight? would Bruce Willis? Of course those guys aren't trying to be funny, so who knows....i'm sure i'll use it one day.
