Dwight L. MacPherson is a writer of comic books, short stories, poetry... and a pirate. Dwight set sail on the stormy sea of Comicopia in 2005 with Arcana Studio's critically-acclaimed, sold-out mini-series Dead Men Tell No Tales. During his reign of terror, this prolific pirate has seen his work published by Shadowline/Image, IDW Publishing, Devil's Due Publishing, Slave Labor Graphics, Silent Devil Productions and Cryptic Entertainment. His all-ages fantasy adventure--Shadowline/Image's The Surreal Adventures of Edgar Allan Poo--has received praise from critics, creators, fans... and his kids. Dwight is currently a landlubber residing in Jonesborough, Tennessee with his three sons and an imaginary peg-legged parrot named Cap'n Thebes.
Worth Gowell’s lifelong obsession with the magic and mystery of Harry Houdini culminated in his asking the question: “What did 12-year old Ehrick Weiss do for a year when he ran away from home to join the circus?” Thus began Dwight MacPherson and Worth’s collaboration on Kid Houdini and the Silver-Dollar Misfits.
His work has appeared in Jokester Magazine, Michael Jantze’s The Norm Magazine, and on badsweaterguy.com. Last year when Viper Comics decided to expand its line up of webcomics, Worth’s cartoon Small Wonder was picked to join their award-winning roster. Next up, Worth will be working with Brian Anderson (syndicated cartoon Dog Eat Doug) to adapt his book The Conjurers into an ongoing webcomic series.
Kevin Conley is one of those never-give-up East coast guys. He's wanted to be part of a comic book creative team since he was 14! Following two armed robberies on his job as an armored-car driver, he was motivated to return to college and complete a visual communications curriculum at Clark University. His color samples eventually caught the eye of Dwight L. MacPherson who offered Kevin an opportunity to work on Kid Houdini and the Silver Dollar Misfits! The rest, as they say, is history!
Kevin lives with his wife of 27 years, 2 daughters, grand-daughter(!), Beagle-mix canine, 2 Maine 'coon cats, and turtle in a humble home north of Boston.
